Our son has been with Sung Lee Taekwondo for nearly 10 years. He started when he was three. We have never regretted our decision. Today he is a second poom/dan, training to be an instructor and a referee. He is an active member of the Hwarang and Demo team.
Sung Lee Taekwondo is a very good place for children not just to learn martial arts, but learn the values of being a good human being. The school runs a number of programs which guide a child to be responsible and learn the basic values of being a good person. While, self-defence and how to stay safe is something taught to the students from a very early stage, use of martial arts to hurt someone is discouraged.
The instructors are very knowledgeable and patient. They know how to make learning martial arts fun. The staff are also very kind, helpful and supportive.
The school holds regular promotion tests and tournaments to nurture the competitive spirit in its students. Sung Lee Taekwondo is a safe place children to learn martial arts, be disciplined, be respectful, be kind and humble …. all while having fun and making friends.
